The moment Candace (Candy) Walker steps foot on a cruise ship, she begins a journey that will turn her world upside down. Recently divorced, the last thing Candy seeks is a serious relationship. She meets a sexy American stranger, throws all propriety out the window, and then relegates their passionate encounter to a holiday 'fling'.
On arrival back in Sydney, Australia, Candy doesn't know all hell is about to break loose until she meets her new 'boss', but that is the least of her problems.
Cleve Hammond is a man with a secret, and Candy is a complication he does not expect nor want. Or so he tells himself. When his twin brother, Nash, becomes embroiled in the situation, Cleve begins to question his feelings.
The emotions stirring within him may jeopardise everything he has worked so hard to conceal. He can't afford to let down his guard after what happened in his past but Candy seems to be getting under his skin.
As for Candy, she must begin to wade through the ensuing chaos of Nash's affections and her twin sister's unexpected arrival on her doorstep. But perhaps her biggest challenge is letting go of her past once and for all, and learning to trust again.

I am an avid reader, and have always loved to write. The endless chatter in my head rules what goes down on paper but mostly my stories are about love. My debut novel 'Heart's Promise' and my second novel 'Where The Heart Is' are works of fiction set in my hometown and the stories are woven from my experiences and those of others I have known. My third novel 'Candy's Man' is a sexy romance novel and is now available in print and as an ebook.

HEART'S PROMISE Review by: Malla Duncan on Feb. 05, 2012 : 4 Stars
Timeless story of young teenage love cleverly woven around more serious issues of religious differences, nationality, family discord, jealousy, friendship and loyalty. Told from Milly's point of view in perfect tone, we get to feel the full range of her burgeoning young emotions as she progresses from her 11-year old infatuation to adult love. Deceptively gentle, this is a story for young and old. Definitely recommend.

CANDY'S MAN Review by: Paula on Goodreads Oct 19, 12: 5 Stars
I won this book in a GoodReads giveaway. This is a hysterically funny, well-written novel. The underlying structure of the novel is two sets of identical twins (one male set and one female set) that perfectly complement each other.
However, if you have some personal objection to reading graphic descriptions of intimate acts, i.e. lovemaking, this is not the book for you. The cover art for the book is representative of the content of the story. The tension and drama in the story are derived primarily from the intimate relationships. There are also some great office interactions between female co-workers. Excellent opening to the novel, and it has a happy ending.
CANDY'S MAN Review by: Rachel on Goodreads Sep 30, 12: 5 Stars
Whoa! This book was hot, hot, hot! Cleve, Candy, and Noah had me so engrossed in their story that I read this book straight through. If you like books with sexual tension, this is the perfect book to read. This is the first book by Jeanette Hornby that I've read, but I can guarantee it won't be the last. With a story that drew me in from the first paragraphs, to characters I loved, I couldn't put the book down until I'd read every word. One of the things I loved about Candy was her personal grotwth as the book came to a close (finally stood up to that ex). I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.
CANDY'S MAN Review by Malla Duncan on Goodreads Oct 07, 12: 4 Stars
'Candy's Man' by Jeanette Hornby has all the bells and whistles: snappy, slick, with a well-planned plot laden with passion, twists and thwarted desire. There are beautiful people, beautiful cars, beautiful houses and beautiful clothes. Not to mention the shoes. And enough emotion, tension and unhappy confusions to keep you glued to the story. Will Candy get her man? Rather ask, will Candy's Man get her? The twists and turns are so adroitly planned, I could not stop reading - I had to know the answers to these questions. Well-written, well-paced, it is both heart-warming and heated, intriguing and satisfying. If you're a lover of traditional romance novels, then this one's for you.
WHERE THE HEART IS Review by Mary Aris on Goodreads Nov 01, 12: 5 Stars
I found the book to be well-written and interesting. I couldn't put the book down. I kind of knew whom Dani would end up with in the end, but Navid's character threw me off that scent in places; I thought Dani would end up with Navid as she found him to be easy to talk to and she grew very fond of him. This book has drama, romance, gossip, and even crime. I did wonder in places why Dani's parents were so strict. I mean, come on, an eighteen year old girl whose parents questioned whom she went out with and held a tight grip on the girl seemed quite unreal; but, after thinking about it, Italians, like the Cubans, are quite over-protective of their daughters.
