Cheryl Carpinello, author of Guinevere: On the Eve of a Legend, is a Colorado native who has taught high school English for over 20 years. Through the use of the King Arthur Legend, a personal passion, she hopes to reach out to reluctant readers. She also continues to research ways to get reluctant readers involved in reading and writing in the elementary grades. Breaking into the education market with a children's novel can be difficult. In this PDB blog, I will be sharing tips that will make a children’s/middle grade/YA novel more appealing to educators. These tips take a little extra time at the end of the writing process but are fun to do. Going into the classroom and discussing writing with students is something I do on a regular basis, and these extras come in handy.
